Our Story

Carrys and Luke met by chance on St. Patrick's day 2018 at a local bar in Gillingham, Kent. With a little bit of flirting and one drunken, teethy kiss they decided to exchange numbers. Who would have thought back then that they'd now be planning a wedding!

After 6 weeks of dating, Luke took Carrys on a romantic weekend away in Canterbury and asked her to be his girlfriend.

After only 9 months together they decided to get matching tattoo's, a four leaf clover, to celebrate their first valentines together.

Two years later, they moved from Kent to Essex and rented their first home together, and shortly after Carrys and Luke became parents for the first time, to their handsome fur baby, Max.

Carrys pursued her career as a Paramedic and Luke furthered his education and became a Science Teacher.

They have been on many adventures and made so many memories with each other, their friends and families.

After four and a half years together, on the 23rd October  Luke took Carrys back to Canterbury for another romantic weekend, but this time, at the same restaurant, he asked her to be his Wife.

Which of course she said yes!

With lot's of planning, and just a few meltdowns, Luke and Carrys are so excited to invite you to celebrate with them, the beginning of their next chapter, as Mr and Mrs Best.

We are not officially asking for gifts. We both feel that the time, effort and money our guest are sacrificing to be apart of our special day is enough: your presence is our present!

For those people who still feel like they would like to give us a wedding gift, we would greatly appreciate donations towards our honeymoon. For our honeymoon, we are planning a three week multi-stop tour of the eastern world with stops in countries such as Thailand, Vietnam and Australia.

We have a joint Monzo account which we will be using on our honeymoon travels:
